Want to assess your business/companies first aid needs and requirements? Use this first aid assessment tool, it is a great way to assess your requirements:
First aid at work (FAW) – the most comprehensive workplace first aid course, suitable for all workplaces. This qualification is a three-day (18 hours) course: Qualification is valid for 3 years. First aid at work re-qualification is a two-day (12 hours) course for those whose First aid at work certificate is due to expire.
Emergency first aid at work (EFAW) a one-day (six hours) course for smaller workplaces where the environment is considered low hazard and a risk assessment indicates that Emergency First Aid knowledge is sufficient. The annual refresher is 3 hours in duration and highly recommended. Qualification is valid for 3 years
If you have more than one employee working at a location, you must undertake a first aid risk assessment http://www.hse.gov.uk/ to determine the number and type of First Aider that are required to provide adequate First Aid cover. Please call us if you need any help or advice with this. To ensure maximum knowledge retention, first aid training needs to be relevant, interactive and systematic. At First Aid Interventions our instructors have extensive experience in Accident and Emergency and Front Line Emergency Medicine. All the first aid courses we offer are regulated and will meet the needs of your staff and your business.
