Qualification Overview 
 
This is an additional bolt on course which we suggest adding onto BLS sessions. The additional course lasts for 1.5 hours and is designed specifically for dental practitioners and their team in order to prepare them for the management of common medical emergencies which may arise in a dental practice. the focus of the training is on initial identification and management of conditions. This course incorporates an update for Basic Life Support and the use of Automated External Defibrilation (AED) alongside common medical emergencies and emergency drugs required in the setting of a dental practice. this guidance is provided in accordance with guidelines provided by the Resuscitation Council UK. This course counts as 4.5 hours verifiable CPD for those dental care professionals registered with the General Dental Council. 
 
Aim of Qualification 
The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations relevent specifically to the Dental arena. 
 
Intended Audience 
The training is suitable for all Dental Professionals and the staff that work within the Dental Team 
 
Completion 
On completion of any training we will issue a individual certificate which count as verifiable CPD and a certificate for your practice to display if you wish in the reception or waiting area. 
 
This course counts as 3.5 hours verifiable CPD for those dental care professionals registered with the General Dental Council.

Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Cardiac emergencies, Epileptic seizures, Hypoglycemia, Syncope, Choking and aspiration, Adrenal. 
Drugs and appropriate administration for dental practice 
Medical emergency treatment algorithms 
Emergency use of buccal midazolam

Notes 
For larger groups we can also supply a second instructor. We know that it can be difficult scheduling training and the impact it can have on a busy practice, so we try to make it easier for you by offering flexible courses at either your practice or one of our venues which would be close to you, we will consider evenings and weekends, what is important is the facilities we operate in are conducive to learning.
